My Encounter With Mandeep

It has been a long, long time since I've written a real blog. Since the pandemic days, in fact. But this warrants it. So there I was, going about my usual afternoon busywork at the AVN compound, when I hear a call from downstairs: "Hello?" I thought I heard my co-worker moving in that direction to see what was up, but then a few minutes later: "Hello?" Looked like it was gonna be up to me. So down the stairs I plodded, and immediately found myself face-to-face with a short, pudgy, balding man seemingly of Indian descent, whom I will call "Mandeep" for the purposes of discretion.  "Hello sir, is there somebody I can talk to here? This is the AVN?" he asked me. "Well yes, what do you need?" I asked. "I have traveled so far, I just need to talk with somebody who can help me," he implored. "OK ... what's happening? What's your question?" I persisted. "I want to find out how can I get into the industry?...

Some Rambling Thoughts

Last week was a very hot week, not just outside but in my apartment, because my air conditioning was out all week. This was extremely uncomfortable and may have caused me some mild form of heat-exhaustion induced dementia.

Nevertheless, I persevered, and here I am, in newly air-conditioned comfort once more.

I've been putting a lot of work into this website. I don't know if it shows, but I'm really grooving on it now. I celebrated a major triumph just the other day when all of a sudden out of nowhere the site inexplicably got approved for Google AdSense. I've been trying and trying for months to make this happen, and out of thin air, boom, I got ads now. I'm super happy about this. So support my advertisers goddamn you!!!

OK, I seriously doubt I'll be seeing a single red penny from these ads, but I still feel cool having them. Like this is a real website or something.

What else? Oh yeah, we're a week away from AVN Awards pre-noms opening, and this is terrifying and I'm not sure how it's gonna go down. Good times.

I'm wondering if I should go get some Menchie's. How late is Menchie's open? I've been getting Yogurtland a lot lately and I feel like I need to switch it up just one time.

There is still no Diet Dr. Pepper & Cream Soda. I'm gonna go Kaczynski over this before too long.

I watched a terrible movie a few nights ago. It's called Drunk Parents. It's on Netflix. It stars Alec Baldwin and Salma Hayek, which you'd think would make for a watchable movie, but no, it's goddamn awful. It does have this one hot chick in it though who plays the daughter, and I thought she looked kind of familiar, but I might be confusing her for a porn chick, not sure. It also has a scene with Will Ferrell and Colin Quinn which was one bright moment of comedy in an otherwise atrocious abomination.

OK, I'm done here. Look at this hokum:
