My Encounter With Mandeep

It has been a long, long time since I've written a real blog. Since the pandemic days, in fact. But this warrants it. So there I was, going about my usual afternoon busywork at the AVN compound, when I hear a call from downstairs: "Hello?" I thought I heard my co-worker moving in that direction to see what was up, but then a few minutes later: "Hello?" Looked like it was gonna be up to me. So down the stairs I plodded, and immediately found myself face-to-face with a short, pudgy, balding man seemingly of Indian descent, whom I will call "Mandeep" for the purposes of discretion.  "Hello sir, is there somebody I can talk to here? This is the AVN?" he asked me. "Well yes, what do you need?" I asked. "I have traveled so far, I just need to talk with somebody who can help me," he implored. "OK ... what's happening? What's your question?" I persisted. "I want to find out how can I get into the industry?...

My New Favorite Wine: Ménage à Trois Midnight

In no way do I profess to be a wine expert, but I do like me some wine, and I know what I like when I drink it. And I can tell you most assuredly that I really, really like this shit.

I don't know how many bottles of this tantalizing nectar I've gone through at this point, but it's several. Do I have some sort of subconscious draw toward this wine brand because its name is a sexual term? Probably. But fuck it, it's goddamn delectable. And when I bought a new bottle the other day at Trader Joe's, they had it marked as a Crew Favorite or some such whatnot, so I'm not just talking out of my ass here—this is some bona fide solid wine.

But since, like I said, I'm no expert and could not tell you shit about the nose or the tannins or the mouth-feel or any of that malarky, I will simply relay what's on the label:

"Experience the dark side of Ménage à Trois with Midnight, a luxurious dark red blend sure to satisfy your deepest desires. Voluptuous black cherry and berry flavors with hints of mocha and exotic spice play across your lips, urging you to turn out the lights and savor the pleasures of the dark."

OK, so I want to fuck this wine, there, I said it.
